Experience

• Malcolm Ward BSc (Hons) MSc (Queens) MAusIMM

  After gaining a BSc in geology at the University of Tasmania, Malcolm worked in the resources technical, banking and corporate sector for 25 years including 13 years on minerals in Australia, North America and the Middle East followed by 10 years in  the resources M&A and project finance sector.

  Returning to Tasmania, Malcolm joined KUTh Exploration in January 2007 and took KUTh Energy through its successful IPO in September.  He then led the company until August 2008 in all aspects of its corporate and exploration efforts, building KUTh into a highly successful geothermal explorer in Australia and the south Pacific.  He was a founding representative on the Australian Geothermal Energy Association, serving on its Reserves and Resources, Policy, Legislation and Infrastructure committees.

   
  

• Roger Lewis BSc (Hons) PhD (Princeton) 

Roger gained a BSc from the University of Tasmania and a PhD from Princeton, both in geophysics. From  1970 through 1997 he lectured in geology and all aspects of geophysics at Macquarie University and  subsequently at the University of Tasmania. In 1972 he started a consulting practice which in time became his occupation. Principal areas of expertise include electrical and electromagnetic methods applied to exploration problems and interpretation software for down hole techniques. In 2005  Roger was a founder of KUTh Exploration  Pty Ltd which applied for a geothermal tenement in eastern Tasmania. He remains involved withs KUTh and its development.
